“ The sides are to die for (fried okra, corn, THE MAC AND CHEESE! And mashed potatoes) the chicken strips were great, the chicken fried steak was a tad on the dry side, but they gave generous portions with lots of extra white gravy. Service and the cocktails (“W. tea”) also excellent. We came for food and atmosphere but stayed for the turkey ! Perfect Thanksgiving vibes ”
“ Nice casual restaurant with taxidermy decor and beautiful christmas decorations. There is a restaurant outside in a fenced area. Favs: Fried catfish, fried shrimp, chicken strips, beef enchiladas, pinto beans, mashed potatoes with cream gravy, green beans and the cream corn. The chips and salsa, tartar sauce and ranch are also good here. Not favs: the fried mushrooms, chicken fried steak, and the beef hamburger steak. ”
“ We were treated by a friend and met him for lunch here. Place was packed but we still got seated right away. Service was fantastic. Food came fast ,drinks were always full. I had the chicken fried steak, buddy had the enchiladas. Food was amazing. The atmosphere was so cool. If you like the outdoors at all you will love this place. Rustic, fishing, and hunting decor. Small menu but everything is great. ”
“ Very good “homemade” food. It’s like eating at your grandma’s. We had the pork chops and they were tender and juicy. We also had the chicken friend steak with mashed potatoes (just perfect) and the cream corn ... OMG. Just delicious!!! Also, try the chips and queso. Overall, we loved the food. ”

“ This place was good. My group got here, and we were seated right away. The waitress was busy this evening. We all placed our orders. This time, I choose the burger and fries. My friends all had something different. The service was a bit slow tonight. It looked as if they could have used another server. We got our food and everyone loved the food. They also had an IPA. The Mocanna Haze was right on. ”
“ Found this restaurant while driving up from Natural Bridge Caverns to Guadalupe River SP. My son and I got enchiladas and the rest of my fam got burgers. We all thought the food was great. The hostess was really friendly and helpful as well as our server. They had a small selection of souvenirs including hats with patches on them, but I was bummed to learn they don’t sell the patches separately (my kids and I collect them and sew them on a blanket from our travels). I was shocked to see they had a really nice enclosed playground outside, so once our food arrived we went out there and my sons had a blast chasing the chickens that snuck through the fence ”
“ Great home style cooking with some excellent service. Our waitress went above and beyond the call of duty. She had many large tables outside but handled them easily. I am impressed by the staff here and the food was really great. My wife had the liver and said it was great. My chicken fried steak was really good, and HUGE. We had chocolate cream pie and blueberry pie and both were fantastic! We will definitely be back and I would recommend this place to family or friends. ”
